While my life has certainly been full of an amazing family, wonderful experiences and so many blessings I would be lying to say that I haven’t had more than my share of devastating lows and traumatic experiences. I often questioned why God would allow me, someone that “knew” him and was a “good” person to go through these things. After drawing closer to him I started to understand better that we have to go through a refining process that sometimes leaves us feeling like there is no hope.
I chose the name of my blog, “In The Hands Of The Potter” as I felt like it really illustrated perfectly how we are transformed in Christ. If you think of the process of crafting a piece of pottery, a potter has to apply the right amount of pressure in order for a perfectly shaped pot to be created. Whether from dust, broken or in need of reshaping, a potter has a unique skill set that allows his/her hands to create beautiful works of art. In the same vein, our formation and transformation is God’s work. Whatever our circumstances, we are in his control.
I look forward to sharing more with you and pray that this site blesses you!
